Supply Chain Security(SCS) - The C-TPAT CONNECTIVITY

We can start initial steps on SCS with 8 keys.

1.       Required to demonstrate C-TPAT security criteria via written and electronic confirmation.

2.       17 points trailer/cargo inspection

3.       Employee’s identification system: background check especially for security personnel, warehouse staff, packing or finishing staff both new and current employees.

4.       Confirm security measures and procedures are in place to track and manage cargo transportation, handling and storage.

5.       Legible and accurate documentation for IN and OUT going cargo to be ensured and should be verified with delivery and purchase orders. Cargo driver’s identification is must.

6.       Facility security like physical barriers, fencing or secured parking, gates, alarming system, lighting, video surveillance and locking system etc.

7.        IT security policies and procedures, passwords protection and employees training are essential.

8.       Should have Security training and threat awareness program twice in a month.
